Hope 4 ME & Fibromyalgia Northern Ireland is a registered charity run by patients and volunteers. Founded in 2011, they have grown from strength to strength, achieving charitable status in 2014, and honoured with receiving the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services in 2020; becoming a foremost charitable organisation working on ME in Northern Ireland.
Having originally established as a support group, they now also run major international conferences, and work closely with local Government to improve service provision and care for people with ME. The charity have a strong track record on improving medical, and other healthcare professional ME education, on fundraising for research, and undertaking significant awareness raising work.
Hope 4 ME & Fibro N.I. are proud to be a member of the World ME Alliance, and hope that collaborating on an international stage can increase their reach, as well as enabling them to both learn from, and to share their successes, with other organisations.
